Denmark to South Coast Norway

The doors of Ribe Cathedral are all very different. The one on the right has a door with a cat’s head knocker and is the oldest. It used to be the men's entrance. The four pillars stand upon carved stone lions. Above the door is a relief depicting the Deposition. Above that is the most important piece of art in Ribe, put up in 1200, showing King Valdemar Sejr, giving a cross to Virgin Mary with Queen Bengerd and Queen Dagmar beside and below him.
